ThayerRags Shirt-Tale Bears

Tale: Bear discovered a pattern for making stuffed bears out of an old shirt, and decided to make one for fun out of an old work shirt. As time went on, folks began requesting their own bears made out of shirts that formerly belonged to a loved one, such as a grandfather, father, or son. The personalization of using a favorite shirt belonging to the missing loved one made the significance of the bear even more special, and serves as a great comfort to those who no longer have their loved one with them. Each bear has a tale to tell, and thus the name, Shirt-Tale Bears.

Description: Bear's Shirt-Tale Bears are each hand-made by Bear herself, using your favorite adult-size button-up or snap-up shirt as a covering fabric. The sleeve length makes no difference, but the fabric should be of a fabric other than a knit, such as cotton, cotton blend, rayon blend, or polyester blend. Email Bear to ask about using other fabrics. Other than the shirt, each bear is constructed with all new materials, including fiber fill, button or felt eyes (your choice), and felt nose. The manufacturer's tag of the shirt can be attached to the back of the bear, or left off (your choice). There are 3 different sizes of bears available, 18", 20", and 22". One bear can be made using fabric from multiple shirts (body from one shirt; head, arms, and legs from other shirts, etc).

How to get your Shirt-Tale Bear: Email Bear to begin the process of getting your ThayerRags Shirt-Tale Bear made for you. In your email message, include your name, zipcode (to calculate shipping), the fabric type of your shirt (if label is still attached), your choice of button or felt eyes (buttons could be a choking hazard), and your preference of tag on or off of the back of your bear.

Payment: Payment can be made by PayPal, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. No Personal Checks. Credit card payments can only be accepted through PayPal at www.paypal.com . Personal checks will be held for at least 10 banking days before your item is shipped.

Shipping: All shipping costs (both for shipping the shirt to 73542, and shipping the finished bear back to you) are in addition to the price listed. Shipping from us will be USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation.

A little about Bear:

Married for 30 years and the mother of three grown children, Bear took up motorcycling seriously in 2001 with her husband. Years of sewing for family and crafts provided the background to begin creating doo-rags just for fun. As the demand for doo-rags increased, "ThayerRags" custom doo-rags were born, beginning a small business of providing doo-rags for individuals by order. She has since expanded her ThayerRag line of products to include Beverage Container Wraps, Shirt-Tale Bears, Baby Bibs, and Microwavable Potato Bags. Bear assembles each and every ThayerRags item herself. That is... when she's not out riding "Bruiser" or "Bronc", her Suzuki Marauder motorcycles.
