Bear's "ThayerRags™" Doo-rags.  CD wanted a doo-rag made out of a bandana that had his company's logo on it.  Since Bear is good with a sewing machine, she came up with a pattern that will make a doo-rag out of one average bandana.   After the success of that first one, Bear began making doo-rags from all types of fabrics.  As of 2009, she has made over 850 doo-rags.  Bear can make a custom ThayerRags™ Doo-rag for you.

>>>>> TRUCK & TRAILER <<<<<

Trailer04.jpg (93803 bytes) Trailer05.jpg (96810 bytes)Truck_01.jpg (78549 bytes)

June 30, 2001 - Got three rails and tie-downs on the trailer, and we're ready to haul some bikes.   Couldn't figure out a good way to mount 4 rails, and still make it possible to load or unload each bike independently.  The 4th rail is ready, and can be attached by moving the center rail to the outside.  For now, it's mounted in the back of Bear's F-150 Ford pickup for hauling a bike in the bed with or without the trailer attached, and without removing the across-the-bed toolbox.

Trailer01.jpg (72230 bytes) Trailer02.jpg (72807 bytes)

June 4, 2001 - The new custom-built trailer arrived from the manufacturer, J & C Mfg. Inc., Rush Springs, OK.   Once the bike rails and tie-down rings are attached to the bed, CD & Bear will be able to expand their cruising to far away places.

>>>>> TIPS & TRICKS <<<<<

Bolt Extension - When starting a bolt or nut in close quarters, use a piece of rubber hose to provide an extension to get the threads started. Cost: $0.50-$1.00

jack_extension01.jpg (54648 bytes) jack_extension02.jpg (61718 bytes)

Jack Extension - We used two 1" galvanized floor flanges and a 1" X 3" black pipe nipple to bridge the gap between the floor jack and the swingarm. Cost: $9.08

VN750_hammer01.jpg (47612 bytes) VN750_hammer02.jpg (47153 bytes)

Hammer Holder - We used two 6" pieces of "1-Wrap Velcro" around the frame to secure our camp hammer to the Vulcan.   The passenger peg bracket served perfect for the weight-baring surface. Cost: $0.50

VZ800_coolant_refill01.jpg (57202 bytes) VZ800_coolant_refill02.jpg (74449 bytes)

Coolant Applicator - We use an empty bottled water jug to add coolant to the Marauder.  We removed the label on the water bottle and always return the unused antifreeze back to the original container before storing the water bottle up out of the reach of children.  Cost: $1.00 (if you count the water purchase)
