CD's Cruiser Observations
Riding along on my motorcycle gives me plenty of time to think about stuff, and I tend to have more questions than answers when it comes to why things happen the way they do when it comes to motorcycles and motorcycling. Still, I've come up with some thoughts on how things seem to work in most cases. Here are a few of my (tongue-in-cheek) observations.
When it comes to motorcycles or motorcycling, it has been my observation that...
"Black or dark-colored SUV's tend to have the most inconsiderate drivers in them."
"It shouldn't be necessary to warm an engine up before changing oil with today's oils, if they're supposed to flow freely at 10° F."
"There is seldom anyone around to witness a spectacular motorcycle maneuver that I make, but my screw-ups are always in front of a crowd."
"At rallies, babes generally show their boobs at a considerable distance from where I'm standing in line at the beer tent."
"You have fewer bikers stumbling over your tent ropes at night, when you pitch your tent in a swamp." (Pawhuska 2002)
