| CD was scheduled to attend a work conference in Galveston, TX, so he & Bear rode their motorcycles down to the gulf coast for the event. The first leg of the trip took them to Wylie Texas (near Dallas) for an overnight stay on Friday. CD got ejected from a C&W Nightclub that night (long story), but daughter Jen and son-in-law Hoss said they enjoyed having them anyway. Saturday, the journey to Galveston continued with a lot of great riding. The beach at Galveston Island West was terrific for cruising on motorcycles, the food along Seawall Blvd was delicious, and of course, a stop by Woody's Biker Bar on Seawall Blvd was a must. Several merchants asked if the pair had been to the rally the weekend before. They told them "no", but hope to make it next year for the 2nd annual event. Since this trip was both of a personal and business nature, you may notice a change in accommodations in the photos. CD & Bear like to go "economy lodging" if not camping, while the conference was conducted at one of the finer hotels. The return trip to Anadarko OK on the following Thursday was another day of excellent riding conditions. It's the ride that keeps this pair going. | |||||

| CD, Bear, and daughter Jen made their first return trip to a major rally. Schedules were tight, so we opted to haul to this event. Being from this area originally, and having relatives still living in the area, the Ignacio rally is more like a homecoming to us than just a rally. We got about 500 miles of riding in while there, including a run around through New Mexico and Arizona to the 4-corners Monument. Except for the expected afternoon thunder showers, the weather was great for motorcycle cruising. Of course, having the pickup along gave us the perfect opportunity to stop in Espanola NM and pick up a couple of large bags of Hatch Green Chili to restock the freezer! And we didn't forget to get a couple of dozen of those famous Romero Tamales either! There's nothing like the smell when Bear roasts her newest batch of green chili! | |||||

| CD & Bear rode up around through Omaha NE to join son Daniel for this run to Sturgis SD. After enjoying the rally and beginning the return trip, Daniel peeled off at Ft Lupton CO, to make a swing down through western Colorado to see his Grandparents and friends. CD & Bear made the return trip down through eastern Colorado, New Mexico, Texas Panhandle, and back into Oklahoma. It was our first long run with no suport vehicle, and everything went well. It was a great run. | |||||
