CURRENT PROJECTS:

GPS Mapping, Inventory, & Inspection -

We are currently in the process of annual line inspection, and this year we are conducting the first-ever GPS Mapping and Computerized Field Inventory of the WFEC System in Oklahoma, Texas, & Kansas. It is a new process to me, and I am having to learn some new technology. We are using the Trimble Pathfinder™ Office software, TDC-1 GIS Data Collector, and the Pathfinder®ProXRS System.

After the data is collected, we use ArcView™ Software from ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) to manage the data into the finished product. Additional data is "layered" in to provide landmarks and identification data to our line features.
