Map Cruiser is more of an event than a club or group. As a matter of fact, the absence of a group is the whole concept of the term. MAP stands for "Ma and Pa", a term that we came up with to describe those times when just the two of us go for a ride. We love group rides, but sometimes we need to just get away from everyone else and run by ourselves. Motorcycling is inherently an individual (versus group) activity, and will probably always be. A person alone with a bike, cruising down a road to somewhere.
And sometimes that person has another person that is accompanying them as a passenger or another rider that is a special part of their life. No longer just an individual, it's now a couple, pair, or twosome. Map Cruisers is a term to describe that couple, pair, or twosome. Be it on one bike or two, one trike or two, or any combination of the two, there are now two of you operating as a unit. You don't have to be mothers and fathers to be MAP Cruisers. Anyone can join by simply going for a motorcycle ride with a loved one.
Perhaps it's time for you and your partner to join MAP Cruisers. Take time out from all of the other activities in your life to go take a ride with your spouse, friend, or special person. Short ride or long ride, it doesn't matter. Just the two of you. Seize the opportunity to confirm your commitment to each other. You'll be glad you did.
