CD's Truck Page 1979 Ford F250 4X4 351M 4-Speed Custom (AUG2002) Here's the truck at the beginning of the restoration: (AUG2002) The first step was to clean up the exterior. Here's what we have after bodywork, paint, new bumpers & new mirrors by Andy's Bodyshop, Anadarko, OK. (AUG2002) Then, we removed the torn floor mat, pad & heat shields, sanded the rusty spots, and filled the rust holes with epoxy filler. To finish the floor, we covered the entire cab floor with two coats of black spray-on bed liner. (AUG2002) The paint had flaked off of the textured headliner, but the cardboard material is still good. We used spray-on adhesive to cover the headliner with black "leather-like" fabric, and painted the headliner trim with the same black bedliner that we used on the floor. UPDATE: The spray adhesive didn't stick. Back to the drawing board.... (SEP2002) The next addition was a used set (eBay) of Diamond Plate running Boards that I'd bought about two years previous, but hadn't gotten around to installing them. (NOV2002) Photos taken on a rainy day after new 9.75 x 16.5 US Wheel Series 97 Modular Steel Wheels, hub covers and chrome lug nuts were added. Tires are 33 x 12.5 - 16.5 LT Super Swamper TSL Tires. (JUN2003) Photos taken at Blue's first Car/Truck Show in Lawton, OK. (1st Place Truck)
More to come...
